Mission Workshop

Our sewers in Mission Workshop produce beautiful quilts, rugs and trimming stamps. The finished products are sent to local and foreign mission fields and hospitals, as well as quilts that are given to high school graduates from First Lutheran as they take a bit of their family of faith with them into the future.

Mission Workshop meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at church upstairs in Lydia. Additional fellowship, hands, sewing remnants and canceled stamps are always welcome - so please join in the fun! 

Prayer Shawl Ministry

This meaningful ministry consists of knitters coming together for a time of story-telling, humor, food and fun while creating prayer shawls from yarn. After a number have been made, the shawls are blessed and distributed as needed by pastors, members and friends of First Lutheran. What a meaningful gift for the recipients to know they are prayed for and have a physical reminder of continually being surrounded by God's love.
