Serving our Community

We reach out into our community and into God's world in a variety of ways. Many of them are laid out in various places here on our website. Our Men's Ministry provides pancake breakfast benefits for specific individuals or families in financial crisis. Our women hand-stitch quilts that are then sent around the globe through Lutheran World Relief. Our youth travel on various mission trips. We have also assembled teams of people for immediate response to those affected by natural disasters.

Our relationships with Southern Anoka County Assistance (SACA) and the Columbia Heights Police Department give us a visible stake in our surrounding community. We believe Jesus' presence in the world is one of justice, love, hope and welcome and we are called to bear Christ to the world. To that end, we are committed to being a giving, inviting, service-oriented congregation of people. We hope you will join us in proclaiming this Word and in caring for our greater community! If you are in need of special services, we would love to help get you connected.
